8/25/2023 EnchantaVaughn Approved Behavior: QMHPA greeted Kaila upon arrival to the home setting. Upon arrival to the home setting, Kaila appeared to be in a positive mood evident by her facial expressions such as a smile on the face. QMHPA inquired about her afternoon. Kaila verbalized to QMHPA that her afternoon was going well. QMHPA informed Kaila that this session was going to focus on increasing her coping skills and being able to manager her anger. Kaila did not present any symptoms of SI or HI at the time of the session being conducted. Intervention: QMHPA began the session by inquiring about Ms. QMHPA’ current thoughts, feelings and emotions. QMHPA reviewed anger management techniques to assist Kaila with maintaining a positive attitude and good mood stability. QMHPA discussed ways to relieve stress and frustration and ways to improve Ms. QMHPA’ quality of life. QMHPA provided social support and encouragement throughout the session as well. QMHPA discussed with Kaila ways to relieve stress and how to control her temper though healthier outlets. QMHPA engaged Kaila in a skills building activity. QMHPA informed Kaila that the purpose of this activity was to assist Kaila in identifying ways to recognize when she is becoming stressed and at what level of stress she should utilize techniques before outbursts. QMHPA educated Kaila on the importance of maintaining a positive attitude through guided imagery. QMHPA reviewed and implemented techniques to assist Kaila with maintaining a positive mood by reviewing anger management techniques which included deep breathing and counting to calm her frustrations. QMHPA also allowed Kaila the opportunity to participate in anger management activity which included scenarios and her identifying the appropriate ways to control anger. Response: Kaila appeared to be receptive to QMHPAs’ interventions and services that were provided to her during the session. Kaila discussed and actively participated in conversations and activities provided by QMHPA. Kaila stated that information was useful however she stated that she continues to struggle with applying techniques as she reacts to situations in which they happen.
